Enlightened Awarded Contract to Provide Planning and Analysis Support for the U.S. Department of State
WASHINGTON (September 30): Enlightened, Inc. (“Enlightened”), a leading provider of Information Technology (IT) consulting services announced today that it has been awarded a contract to provide planning and analysis support for the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS). Enlightened, Inc., the HUBZone prime, teamed with its longstanding Contractor Teaming Partner (CTA) Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc. to provide technical and advisory services, management services, and program support staff services.
The program focuses on three major tasks: planning and transition advisory support, strategic planning group assistance and policy and planning division support. The result of the program will provide performance management and continuous process improvements to DS Strategic Planning and Program Planning requirements.
Mr. Timothy O’Brien, a 25-year veteran of the Department’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security, is leading this program for Team Enlightened. The Bureau of Diplomatic Security is requesting support in identifying the most efficient means of transitioning all security training from 11 locations to one, ensuring the Bureau of Diplomatic Security has the proper workforce mix that corresponds to its work priorities, and reviewing Bureau programs in order to inform executive leadership on appropriate workforce and training priorities. Mr. O’Brien is experienced not only in the security training aspect of the requirement, but strategic planning and policy within the Bureau.
